Dear Soup Kitchen and Food Pantry Patron,
We want to inform you that Middlesex Human Services Agency (MHSA) will end operation of our daily soup kitchen and weekly food pantry at the Immanuel United Methodist Church in Waltham on Friday, Oct. 13, due to the planned renovation of the building. We are currently looking for a new location and will provide an update as soon as a new site is identified.
We are exploring every option for keeping these programs open in Waltham and closure would only be a last resort. Our goal and mission are to be able to continue to support you and the many people who rely on MHSA for meal support each week.
We have deep ties to this community and are working diligently with local business contacts, faith leaders and nonprofit colleagues to find a new home for this vital community resource as soon as possible. We are committed to minimizing any disruption to our daily meal service and weekly food distribution as we transition to a new site.
We have been providing these services for many years and have been through many changes. Times of uncertainty can be stressful, but we strongly believe that we will find the right place.
